Jasper Silvis, My Story

My name is Jasper Silvis.  I live near southwest Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the home of Benjamin Franklin and the birthplace of Liberty.  That simple word, Liberty, should have a special meaning for you since you are reading this article, because chances are, you are doing your proper due diligence while investigating a real home based online business opportunity that will set you free.  Reading the story behind the success of the person who is to coach you to financial freedom is crucial in determining if the company he or she represents is real and matches your personality, philosophy, and goals for success.  You are doing the smart thing by reading my articles and blog posts and by watching my videos on various topics before committing to a decision.

So why are you here?  It's most likely 2am and you are searching for that one awesome business opportunity that will provide financial freedom for you and your family, allowing you to fulfill all those dreams and goals you have been obsessed about for several years but could not see them through due to the time restrictions of your job and the money restrictions of a salary, designed to keep you trading time for money for many years to come.  You have been all too reminded about how little freedom you really have at your job.  Staff reductions, budget cuts, project cancellations, pitiful raises, advancement freezes, are draining your motivation and passion.  In fact, I would not be surprised if you have been affected by all of those things in the past 2 years alone.

I know exactly how you are feeling.  My story is like yours even if we do not share the same industries.  I started as an aerospace engineer analyzing aircraft structures.  It was very exciting, cutting edge work.  But what typically happens to most engineers one the aircraft begins to fly?  We are twiddling our thumbs doing monotonous sustaining tasks to support manufacturing and production.  Well, I absolutely hate being bored, so I immersed myself in as many aspects of the aircraft as I could, including static test, flight test, manufacturing support, battle damage repair analysis, you name it.

Remember, the opposite of happiness is not sadness, it is boredom, since the best description of happiness is excitement, not contentment.  So when a new aircraft program started, I jumped at the opportunity when it was presented.   However, within a year, it was canceled, and all the drive and passion of working 12-15 hour days to see your dream come true was gone, flushed in a single staff meeting.

At that moment, I decided to switch career paths and become a software developer for aerospace applications and later a systems administrator for Unix servers.  Immersing myself in those fields, I earned service awards and certifications, not unlike yourself, only to learn after a few years that our entire department was being outsourced.  Here we go again!

I decided then to leave aerospace altogether and join a major mortgage company as an "advanced technology services specialist".  (Companies sure love long titles to make their employees feel important, don't they?)  Well this job actually was exciting and I really liked this company and its people.  They made me a lead overseeing the development of software applications used to monitor the health and security of all the company's computer networks, servers, and applications.  Pretty cool gig, except that I was a lead of no one.  Never in the 3 years there was a single person officially assigned to me.  Like you, I heard all the excuses about budget and all the promises encompassing the word, "soon".  So needless to say, I wrote all the monitoring software and was on-call 24 hours a day for those 3 years.  Add in the 36 mile drive to work and you can guess I was pretty burned out.  Four fender benders in 3 years pretty much proves it.

I could go on, since there were a few more situations, similar to yours, that I had to experience before my conscious kicked me in the pants to tell me "ENOUGH!" At that moment, I stopped believing I had a career, as I knew I only had a job. My mind was never going to let me be a "company man" anymore. I know I had to run a company myself. I am so glad I made that decision. My life, family, and the people I have coached and continue to help has forever changed for the better. I get to be a source of inspiration in the lives of others, and that is very powerful to me and gives me purpose.

I know what it's like to get "the stare" from your wife as you try to explain why one business failed and why the next one will work. She stares in amazement now, as do I.

One failed business opportunity after another and I had to take a stand.  I had to write down everything I needed to have in a business before agreeing to try another.  You may not realize this, especially if you have not watched my videos, but I have a pretty bad stuttering problem.  In fact, I average 30 takes per video before I get the fluent speech I desire before producing it for the public.  I could not make any more phone calls to leads unless I knew they were 100% committed and interested.  I could no longer pitch my family, friends, coworkers, and people on the streets because my stuttering made it seem like I was unsure about the business model and its promises.

I made a rule that my next business had to be 100% online and supported by a marketing system unmatched and always updated, including training on article writing, blogging, video production, Twitter, Facebook, all other social marketing, Google AdWords (once free advertising brought in profits), press releases, free online advertising, and so on.  I needed a system that made leads pay a small fee for an application with a free student trial period, so when I spoke with them, I knew they were interested and committed, which allowed me to relax on the phone.  I needed a system that had branded web sites with several landing page styles that can be interchanged at will so different marketing strategies employing different keywords could point to a different, more relevant landing page.  I needed a system that allowed me to plug my own customizations into my own landing page (including video) from a back office so I don't have to write any code.  I needed a system where personal support was given by a coach, who made it their personal mission to make sure I succeeded.  I needed a business model that was open across the world, allowing me to reach endless amounts of people interested in starting a home based internet business.

All these requirements weeded out several opportunities I received in the mail, in email, and in phone messages.  When I finally found Carbon Copy PRO, I could not believe that it was real, that a system could truly be a carbon copy of successful internet marketers.  Within a day of submitting a paid application, my coach called me to give me a chance to ask questions.  It was just a quick call and he never tried to sell me on anything.  I knew that if he had to sell me, I would have to sell my applicants, and I did not want to do that.  He just gave me the orientation call schedule and some web links to more information.  That was it.  Most of our conversation was centered around goal setting and getting into the right mindset for business ownership.  It was a very nice conversation and I knew if I was to join Carbon Copy PRO, I would treat my applicants with the same honest and gracious care.  Still hesitant, I attended 2 introductory calls, read all the information, and called my coach 3 times.  I always came back amazed at the level of friendship, honesty, commitment, and absolute joy in the voices of my coach and other mentors I was able to contact.  This really was ... it.  I found it.  The one business opportunity that spoke to me and my goals in life, not just to make money, but to also develop my definite major purpose in helping as many people as possible improve their lives in many aspects.  I never looked back and have been honored to coach many members in this business to success.

This system has also allowed me to fulfill my other passions aligned with my goals, including the starting of a fitness company, teaching self defense classes, personally coaching athletes, training with MMA fighters, investing in real estate, teaching real estate investing , supporting the active growth of my family's church and their numerous community outreach programs, and so much more.  Working for someone else would never let me touch the lives of so many people, including my increase time spent with my wife and children.  I am truly blessed.  I am achieving my definite major purpose and I want you to do the same for yourself and for your family.
